Major Benefits of working for Peoples State Bank

Health & Dental Insurance - To meet the healthcare coverage needs of employees, Peoples provides both a health and dental plan through self-funding allowing a competitive benefit package at an affordable cost. Health and dental coverage is available to employees regularly working 30 or more hours per week.

Life Insurance - Peoples covers the full cost of providing a term life insurance plan, a benefit of two times an employee’s annual base compensation, to employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week,

Long-Term Disability Insurance - Peoples also provides an income protection of approximately 60% of employee base compensation if they are unable to work beyond several months due to long term disability as a result of accidental injury or illness.

Short-Term Disability - After meeting a one year service requirement, full-time employees are covered between 50-80% of their salary for up to 12 weeks of doctor certified short term disability.

401(K) & Profit Sharing Plan - To help employees reach their retirement goals, Peoples provides a retirement saving plan that allows employees to build a nest egg through salary deferral, employer matching, and discretionary profit sharing contributions. The first of the month following 90 days of employment and after meeting certain age requirements, employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k). The bank matches 100% of the first 1% and 50% of the next 5% of the employee’s deferral. Employees are 100% vested in the bank match after 2 years of service. To earn a year of service, employees must work at least 1000 hours in a calendar year.

Paid-time-off (PTO) - New employees begin to earn PTO after their first full month of employment. These days can be taken in increments of 1 hour (2 hour minimum) and for any reason (vacation, personal, sick time, etc.).

Holiday Pay - This benefit is available immediately to full and part-time employees and covers 6 ½ holidays per year.

Focus Rewards Program - The bank’s Focus Rewards Program is a bank wide incentive plan rewarding employees for maintaining a focus on the bank’s strategy and achieving the goals that will help us reach our vision. Employees are eligible to participate upon their hire date and earn approximately 3.6% to 5.8% of their base wage, depending upon their employment status, if the Bank meets its budgeted net income and department goals are met.

Employee Assistance Program - Peoples provides a confidential counseling and referral program free to all employees and their immediate family members when professional assistance is needed for maintaining mental health.

Higher Education Tuition Assistance Program & Professional Development - Employees are provided many learning and development opportunities to enhance overall effectiveness and career advancement within our industry. In addition, employees are asked to attend or may request to attend higher education coursework, specific external programs or banking schools.
