2026 Employee Promotions
Wausau, Wis. (January 27, 2026): Peoples State Bank President and CEO Scott Cattanach announces the following promotions:
Stephanie Dahlquist, mortgage lender I and officer. Dahlquist works with customers, as well as internal and external referral sources to originate residential loans. In a short time, she has demonstrated strong growth in lending expertise, delivered exceptional customer service, and has quickly established herself as a strong contributor in the northern market loans. Matt Hughes, commercial banker I and officer. Hughes has been an integral part of the growth of the bank’s southeast market by driving new commercial loans and strengthening relationships. In addition, Matt is a natural collaborator with a desire to learn and is a passionate ambassador for Peoples. He consistently looks for opportunities to use his professional toolbox to make a positive impact for his customers, the community, and the bank.
Hannah Johnson, operations supervisor and officer. Johnson quickly adjusted throughout the year in her new role as deposit operations supervisor. She has led two successful ACH audits and has been an integral part of the bank’s digital banking conversion. Hannah consistently meets and exceeds expectations. She rises to any challenge she is given and is humble, hungry and smart in her words and actions.
Casey Rogers, loan servicing lead and officer. Rogers has been instrumental in the successful onboarding of new employees and remains dedicated to providing ongoing support to the entire team. Casey is a trusted and respected lead, consistently demonstrating professionalism, integrity, accountability, and teamwork. Her experience and leadership ensure the bank’s loan servicing operations meet both customer and internal user needs.
Kari Schwingle, branch manager I and officer. Schwingle has proven to be a great fit in our Stevens Point branch. She’s done an exceptional job representing Peoples State Bank in the local community—actively promoting the bank, engaging her team, and creating opportunities to highlight and develop her team members. Kari has exceeded both sales and customer service expectations and has made a meaningful impact on her team.
Brittany Walters, cash management specialist II and officer. Walters demonstrated strong growth and performance this past year, developing a solid understanding of treasury management while consistently delivering excellent customer service. She has become a trusted resource, known for her collaborative approach and high level of support for key customer relationships.
Jill Whittaker, digital experience leader and assistant vice president. Whittaker has excelled in her role, overseeing both the digital branch and contact center, leading a team of five. Her leadership has driven significant year-over-year gains in overall satisfaction scores, reflecting her focus on customer experience and team performance. Jill is recognized as a trusted and approachable leader, widely respected for her valuable insights and positive impact across the bank.
