Peoples Hires Aleksandar Bjelić as Executive Vice President, Retail Group Leader
Wausau, Wis. (February 17, 2026): Peoples State Bank announced that Aleksandar (Aco) Bjelić has joined Peoples as executive vice president and retail group leader. Bjelić will manage all retail banking efforts and work closely with department managers to support the success and growth of the bank’s retail and mortgage banking business.
“Aco’s extensive experience includes leadership in finance, banking and a strong track record in driving customer-focused growth,” said Scott Cattanach, Peoples State Bank president and CEO. “With his finance and past corporate experience, he has a well-rounded understanding of business operations, people development, and organizational strategy to support customer success.”
Bjelić will oversee and advance Peoples’ retail banking, residential mortgage, and wealth management teams. He joins Peoples with more than six years of experience in community banking, including as chief retail officer of a Milwaukee-based bank.

Bjelić earned his degrees in finance and international business, with a minor in political science, from Marquette University. Throughout his career, he’s held progressive leadership roles focused on retail banking performance, customer engagement, and team development.
